Molecular formula: C5H9ON < br />. Molecular weight: 99.13 < br />. (1) N-methyl pyrrolidone is an important chemical raw material. It is a polar solvent with strong selectivity and stability. It has the advantages of low toxicity, high boiling point, strong solubility, non-flammability, biodegradability, recyclability, safety in use and suitable for various formulations. It is widely used in petrochemical industry, pesticide, medicine, electronic materials and other fields.
1. General grade N-methyl pyrrolidone: lubricant refining, lubricant antifreeze agent, synthetic gas desulfurization, electronic insulation materials, agricultural herbicides, pesticide additives, recovery of PVC tail gas, additives and dispersants for production of high-grade coatings, inks, pigments, etc. For example, it can be used to extract aromatic hydrocarbons from lubricating oil in order to refine lubricating oil. Because NMP has a high solubility in resin, it can be used as a solvent for resin processing to produce coatings, floor coatings, varnishes, composite coatings, integrated circuit enamelled insulating materials, fibre fabrics and adhesives.
2. Industrial grade N-methyl pyrrolidone (aramid grade): extraction and recovery of basic organic raw materials, such as acetylene concentration and butadiene, isoprene, aromatics, etc. It can be used as a solvent for recovering acetylene from natural gas or light naphtha pyrolysis gas, and the purity of concentrated acetylene can reach 99.7%. As an extractant for separating and recovering high-purity butadiene from cracked C4 hydrocarbons, the recovery rate is 97%, and the purity of recovered butadiene is 99.7%. It can be used as an extractant for recovering high-purity isoprene from cracked C5 hydrocarbons. The recovery purity of isoprene is 99%. Because of its high solubility and low vapor pressure to aromatics, the loss rate of extractant is low and the recovery rate of aromatics is high when it is used as aromatics extractant.
3. Electronic grade N-methyl pyrrolidone: used as electrode auxiliary material for polymer lithium ion batteries, LCD liquid crystal material production, polyvinylidene fluoride solvent, and industrial detergent - cleaning chemical equipment, plugs, adhesives and coating layer, etc. Used as solvents for polymers and polymerization reactions. For example, the production of insoluble industrial materials (polyphenylene sulfide, polyimide, polyamide, polyurethane) and aramid fibers and other polymers of the polymer solvent.
4. Reagent-grade N-methyl pyrrolidone: IC, hard disk, etc. require strict control of degreasing, degreasing, dewaxing, polishing, rust prevention, paint removal in metal ions and particulate industries, such as photoresist removal solution, precision instruments in IC semiconductor industry, LCD materials, PCB printed circuit boards, hard disk cleaning, and human beings.
